My understanding is that the biggest difference between the forthcoming versions of Office for Mac 2011 is the one of them comes with Outlook and the other doesn't.

I would jump at the chance to use Outlook IF it could sync emails, contacts and calendars with MobileMe. Right now MobileMe is an indispensable service to keep my iPhone, MBP and MP all in sync. Since Outlook 2011 lacks CalDav support this is a no-go.

I'd like to get a read on what everyone thinks...is it worth ponying up the extra money to get the version with Outlook in the hopes that subsequent updates will bring CalDav support or should I just stick with the basic Office version that lacks Outlook?
