Iphone 4 3G data driving me crazy

I restored my Iphone 4 to
ios 4.1
Base Band 01.59.00
Originally locked to to AT&T
Hacktivated via Greenpoison
Now the ultrasnow unlock worked fine, But I cannot connect to 3g.
I am in the UK and cannot connect to 3G on any network

However if I remove the sim and then replace it without pressing the "SIM REMOVED" dialog box then it all works fine until I have to reboot / respring or the power goes.
 
AFAIK ultrasn0w isn't compatible with iPhone 4.1 yet or there is no unlock for iP4 iOS 4.1
 
But I have the old baseband 01.59.00.

The ohone - calling and text works fine.

3g does not unless i remove the sim and reinsert it then it works fine. Has commcenter got to do with this?
