i guess once it f's up.. it's f'd up for good.. with a HDD, I think you can still send it in for data recovery etc.

well of course the downside of having flash chips instead of an actual enclosed drive is that you can't upgrade, so you're stuck with it comes with.
 
It's expensive and can't hold as much data as traditional hard disks, and the way its implemented into the Air means it's next to impossible to upgrade.
 
the # of writes and maybe lack of trim? interested in seeing how the new ssd compares to the traditional 2.5" drives
