Many people tend to forget that they can get iLife '11 for $8 or €8 (where I live) through the iLife up-to-date program.

Macs ordered between the 1st of October up until now can get their iLife '11 with the Macs for a few bucks more.

Just go to: http://www.apple.com/ilife/uptodate/ and order yours today.:D

I'm not happy, I bought my iMac on 23rd Sept and have to pay £45 - the "limit" they've put on when you can claim is very tight imo

Order on 9/28, did not receive until the 5th.

Kind of ridiculous that I'm not eligible. I'm going to complain to Apple and see if they make an exception.

If i had gone to the local store than I would be eligible, but since I bought online I'm not? Doesn't seem right.

But if you just bought iLife 09 to upgrade an older machine (like I did) you are SOL. Never understood why they tied this to the purchase of hardware when you can also buy just the software.

I also know someone who did the same thing and it worked. :D Id hurry and get this if you are out of the allotted dates.

I entered the required info from my MBP purchased in August.

Sorry, we can't find the serial number you provided. Please recheck your serial number and enter it again.

I've double and triple checked and I've entered the correct SN. :(

I bought mine from Best Buy.

They let me qualify the item, place the $8 iLife in my cart and when I check out I got this:

"Sorry, but you have exceeded the maximum number of Up-To-Date products that can be purchased at this time" :(

Mine's purchased from Apple Store Online so maybe that's why.

I built a custom mac pro from the Apple Store that was ordered September 3rd, I just ordered my up-to-date iLife 11 by entering 03/10/2010.

Get it quickly :p

You have to enter a fake date. Not your actual August purchase date. I just did so with mine and it worked. I actually purchased my MBP in August, but I put in an October 4th purchase date :)
