App Store launching on Snow Leopard or only Lion?

i know they said it is coming in the next 90 days but it is listed as a feature under Lion which comes out Summer 2011

It's a feature of Mac OS X 10.7, which will be also available for Mac OS X 10.6. As we only get the beta of Mac App Store in Mac OS X 10.6, it might be the case, that the version coming with Mac OS X 10.7 will be the final release, just like with Boot Camp and Mac OS X 10.4.

Doubt it. What would happen to people who buy apps in SL, don't want to upgrade to Lion right away, and are SOL when they want to re-download their apps?

Both SL and Lion will get the final version of the App Store.
