Hello -

Looking to buy our first iMac finally. The primary use of it is general browsing, email, ms office, and managing pics/videos of our family.

Based on that, would the $929 build be sufficient? To be honest, the $1019 one isn't that much more considering you get a better processor and video card. Thoughts?

$929
Refurbished iMac 21.5-inch 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
21.5-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen display
4GB memory
500GB hard drive
8x SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics with 256MB memory
Built-in iSight camera

$1019

4GB memory

ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics with 256MB memory
Built-in iSight camera

Thanks.

I would pay 90$ more to get better CPU and GPU. Those are parts you cannot upgrade so to make it more "future-proof", get the more expensive one. It should be worth it in the long run

Great everyone.

Now the tough time of waiting for it to ship. We do have a Apple store locally that could give me the instant gratification of picking a new one up today. However, the $180 savings could later be used for more memory.

It's interesting there are always the 21.5 i3 refurbs in stock. I wonder if a bulk of those are the yellow screen issue.

I know Apple refurb products are in mint condition.
