hello all,
thanks to anyone who could help me out!
I have a macbook pro 3.1 and from one day to another i try to turn it back on and I hear the usual sound of the os booting up but the monitor doesn't flinges, just remains black, not even the light went on!!
Thats the problem just the monitor isn't working!
Thankfully it had remote desktop enabled and I can remote connect to it without any issues the system seems to work!
via remote desktop conncetion I can do anything with it, like i would have it infront of me!
so this is a bizzare problem!
when I go under about my mac and go in the hardware specs, I see something peculiar!
under graphics this is what I get!
Intel GMA X3100:
Chipset Model: GMA X3100
Type: GPU
Bus: Built-In
VRAM (Total): 64 MB of Shared System Memory
Vendor: Intel (0x8086)
Device ID: 0x2a02
Revision ID: 0x0003
Displays:
Display Connector:
this is odd as I know it has a 256mb card inside!
can anyone help me?
as this model of the macbook pro 3.1 has a expresscard 34 slot is it possible that there is something like a module that works like a graphics card?
essentially using an graphics card that has a expresscard 34 slot, to which I can attach a monitor?
any other hints welcomed
