ACD 27 or HP Dreamcolor?

I need a new monitor.
I am thinking of a new Apple 27inch which looks great.
But I have heard excellent reviews about the HP Dreamcolor as well.

Will be used in a Video edit system.

Which way to lean?

If color accuracyis important go with the HP. LED's can not give you a wide color gamut (yet).

We used HP DreamColor displays during post production (VFX) on Avatar. Amazing screens. I'd choose it over an ACD any day.

For color accuracy, the HP.

I like my Cinema 27", but I have no illusions that the white LEDs are limited. Would love to see Apple release a Cinema Pro 27" with RGB LEDs.

any (IPS) display at the ACD price point will be better. what you're paying for is the apple logo, aluminum construction, and the integration with Macbooks.

How does the Dell 2711 compare to the Apple and HP models? The Dell model is priced at $100 more than Apple's.
