I was wondering if there was such an application or a tweat that would let me scrobble my tracks to last.fm.

I searched on google but I didn't really find anything.

It doesn't scrobble music played from Pandora.
I use Pandora because it's a bit more reliable during my 45 minute commute to uni. Last.fm almost always buffers or sometimes even skips songs. Pandora for some reason doesn't do that or does that very rarely.

And not to mention Pandora has better song recommendations imo

Ohhhh! Hah, sorry I was rather confused....

I think there's an app on Cydia which copies all of Pandora's song info onto your clipboard, but I can see that's not exactly what you want...

I must say, I prefer Pandora as well, in fact I've gone to quite lengthy means to use it, since I don't live in the US, alas, totally worth it.

So I guess no app like this exists? :(

Pandora's not likely to add scrobbling to their app any time soon too...

I have no idea what you mean by scrobbling, but there was just a tweak released for unlimited skips and no ads for Pandora.

OP means scrubbing, or dragging your finger left/right to go backwards or forwards in the timeline of the song, a la the ipod app (and most media played on the phone).

No, he means updating his Last.fm while playing his music through Pandora.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

I guess scribbling isn't a word a lot of people know yet.

Yes I want to update last fm while playing pandora.

On the desktop, pandora.fm does this seamlessly. I just want some app to work on the iPhone that scrobbles my pandora plays to last fm

full credit to Rob Mclovin on this.. but i googled and found this.. it really did come out yesterday haha

repo is: http://cydia.cydevice.net

here is the site i found it on, though i have not tried it. : http://appadvice.com/appnn/2010/10/jailbreak-pandora-hack-kills-skip-limits/

EDIT: works nicely :)

I put two stations up to the skip limit and then installed the hack. On the stations that were at the limit I couldn't skip. It seems to be working on the other stations though.

no i did not, i just tested with 10 skips.

you changed your post so i already forgot what i answered :p

Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of scrobbling? To capture information of what music you choose to listen to, then make suggestions based on that information?

If Pandora plays a song you don't like, or songs you're indifferent about, Last.fm will still make suggestions based on those songs because you scrobbled them, I may think you chose to listen to them because you like them, when in reality, Pandora chose it for you, and you may or may not like it.

lol yeah first I posted that it didn't work because I couldn't skip on the stations that were at the limit. Then after I posted I tried another station and the limit was gone.

Ya you have to respring for the tweak to kick in. But with the new update, its awesome. No crashing, skips perfectly.
