Hey guys i have a 3gs and tonight all of a sudden the bottom part of my screen stopped responding. Cant open any of my 4 main apps on the bottom. Even if i opened another app i cant open anything on the bottme for instance say im in the phone app i cant go to my dialer or contacts etc. Anybody know the solution for this?

Thanks in advance

Have you tried powering off and then back on the iPhone? Hold the sleep/wake button on the top edge, slide to power off, then hold the sleep/wake button until you see it start back up. Post back if that doesn't fix.

1) How did you manage to unlock the iPhone if the bottom part of the screen is not working?
2) If the screen responds to your touch when you slide to unlock, it means that the issue is not hardware based, a good thing.
3) Try doing a hard reset while the phone is still powered on.
4) If that doesn't work, try backing up in iTunes and do a restore.

Good luck.

Sounds like a redraft is in order.

If that doesn't work try a hammer. I hear those can make the bottom 4 icons completely disappear. ;)

Sounds like something with your digitizer. I'd suggest you take it to the Apple Store and see if they can do anything with it.
