Hi there I tried using the pwnage tool 4.1.2 to jailbrake my iphone 4 to no avail. It goes through to itunes then tells me that it is not able to restore via current mode then it just restarts it again and restores it back to normal. Anyone have this problem or any idea's on how to jailbreak my iphone?

I jailbroke mine using limera1n. I havent had any issues with it yet. I think I did that over a month ago try that one out.

Edit~ Mine isnt unlocked though I was only able to JB it. Just to let you know. IDK if there is a way to unlock mine yet.

pwnage tool preserves your baseband the error is probably 1004 Apple is noticing the custom firmware from pwnagetools you need to use it with Tiny umbrella and kick it out at the right time. yes it's kind of a pain in the ass but it will preserve your baseband and so you so you can unlock. :D

isn't that what you use to jailbreak the phone and get cydia on there?

No you don't need to use pwnage tool. While it is a jailbreak tool it is designed to help you preserve the old baseband for an unlock. If you have factory unlock just update to 4.1 normally through itunes and then run limera1n.
