Hello

I have a 3gs and a very annoying exwife that loves to leave very long annoying messages on it. Is there a way to change the length of message that can be left? Maybe she would get the hint and get to the point. Thanks in advance for any help.

The length and amount of voicemails are dependent upon your service provider and not dependent on the type of phone that you have.

If you are in the US and have ATT, according to their customer service site here. They state this isn't possible.

Is it possible to change the length of time callers will have to leave a message?

No. AT&T VoiceMail Service comes with 4 minutes of message recording time and AT&T VoiceMail Plus Service comes with 5 minutes of message recording time, which cannot be altered in any way.

If you have service from a different provider in a different country this could be different but I haven't heard of any voicemail services that allow you to modify the length of time allowable manually. I did do a quick check to see if Google Voice allowed you to modify the length of time for voicemails but they seem to not allow that either.
