Hey guys,

The situation is as follows. I have a MBP 15 inch with iLife'08. Over a couple of days, I will be getting a new MBP 13 inch with new iLife'11.

Will I be able to install new iLife'11 on my old MBP? As far as I know, there is no serial number for the suite and Apple cannot prevent you from using it.

Don't start this discussion again "is it legal? is it morally right? why don't you go and buy the family pack?" I told you what my situation is and I don't want to spend additional 80 euro's on the family pack.

If iLife 11 is pre-installed, no. If you get a drop in upgrade disc, yes.

I suppose I am going to get iLife'11 on a dvd with my brand new MBP. Will I be able to install it on my old computer?

You might be. That would, however, be illegal and as people start doing this more and more, Apple will be all the more justified in implementing (annoying!) security measures.
