Round 1.

I'm on the go, got a laptop, itunes running like a charm, click and song plays.
Get back home, plug in my "Music" external HD. Now what. Why can't a new library be added with music from that drive? When you disconnect the drive, pfouf, no more extended library! Why not?

Round 2.

Is a queue list really out of the question?

First Interlude

iTunes is a great multimedia (/ shop) platform for me, but I really get pissed at it's lack of basic music-player features.

try Songbird - it's free, has a 'now playing' queue/list (although weirdly it's an add-on, easily done), and can use the i-tunes library intially if you like but can be setup to leave your music folder as is.... worth a try.
