Lacie vs. LG External DVD Burner

Hello,

I have an '07 Macbook Pro and my internal DVD burner has just completely died, which as I've read on this and other forums is expected (sadly). I was hoping to avoid the expense of completely replacing it and purchasing an external DVD burner, I just don't know which one to get. Would I be better off with Lacie or LG?
