Damn! They aren't offering it for 9 month old models. haha

I'm pretty sure they do this for every iLife release.
 
My DH purchased his on 10/21 and it wasn't free, but significantly discounted. It was $6.99 + tax with free shipping.

Just an FYI...still a great price!
