Hi,

I am developing one application, where i store the phone number and email-id of a person. At certain point, i need to send a message to the stored phone number as well as email....This should happen without user interface.(User should not be required to press the send button)....i.e. , the app should send the SMS automatically....

Is there any API for doing so..... ?

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 3GS: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

Short answer is no: there is no official way to send an SMS without user intervention. The only way you could do this would be to have a server running that sent SMS messages and have the app communicate with the server.
