i5 or i7?

Hi there,

i want to buy an imac this week. Was wondering whether there is much difference between the i5 2.8ghz and the i7 2.93.

I use my computer for surfing, lots of Word, lots of iphoto and some very light iMovie.

OP:
Don't listen to him. He (again) shows that he's got no idea what he's talking about.

The i5 suits your needs pretty well, no need to get a faster processor.

Does that mean, you have experience with that fella then?

Anyway, if the OP would get an iMac with the unreleased i47 CPU, than it would blow any other computer away and be more than 4200% faster.

I do indeed, but it's not only me. It's always like this, ridiculous statements, and if you ask for a source or explanation for it, nothing comes back. I mean how would he, if the statements are wrong anyway? Hard to find justifications for wrong assertions, isn't it? ;)

As I said, just ignore it, it really isn't worth it.

buy the i7 refurb if you can. Online only, but 1699.
