Hope someone has figured this one out. After installing a total new version iLife over my old one, iMovie now hangs on scanning my Apreture Library which is 6GB+. I have let this go for 3 hours but it never seems to finish.

I have gotten around it by using terminal and changing the ownership of my Apreture Library file to root:staff by doing the following command:
sudo chown root:staff Pictures

iMovie will start but when I change ownership back to my userid the scan begins again. I tried repairing permissions on the Apreture DB, but no luck.

Anyone have any solutions to this? I am running with Apreture ver3.1. What a waste of money to get iLife. I was hoping they would add support for directly converting *.TOD files - but that was a dream.
I am going back to Adobe Premiere Elements as they do it right.

Regards,
Dan
