I'm pretty sure I searched everywhere and haven't found an answer and haven't heard from MS support so here goes:

Anyone have a retail box version of Office for Mac 2011 Home and Student Family Pack (3 Users / 3 Macs)? Mine came with only one product key; is that normal?

Wondering if I should be suspicious of the online retailer because 2008 came with three distinct product keys and I was looking for 3 with 2011.

Thank you!

That serial will work on three machines. IIRC you no longer get separate keys, you only get one that works X amount of times.

Office 2011 uses online Activation.

So if you have 3 licence version, it will come with 1 serial and 3 activations.

You can de-activate a computer, but can only do so once a month.
