I've tried to read through the relevant SP3/Boot Camp threads, but didn't find an exact application to my question.

I'm new to the Mac world, and have a new MacBook Air. When I fired up Boot Camp, it downloaded the Boot Camp files needed for Windows 7. I have a new Windows XP SP3 disk (need to be using XP on this machine), so went ahead and partitioned the drive and installed XP SP3. It is running, but naturally will not use the Boot Camp drivers burned on the DVD -- I get a "will only work with Windows 7" message.

Is my only option to just unpartition the drive now, and repartition and install the SP2 version of XP? If that's the case, will the 216Mb BCUpdateXP.exe Boot Camp file that is available for download work for this configuration?

As I said, XP is a requirement due to some other software we have to run.

Thanks.
