Google contacts snyc

hello all,

I set up my phone to sync with google contacts through itunes, but it syncs litterlly every single contact I have ever contacted. random craigslist, random emails, etc. (mostly garbage emails) Is there any way to only sync my contacts, or maybe just the ones with phone numbers?

There are some contacts with just email addressees on my phone however. Its just on my phone I would like only the contacts with phone numbers. It was possible with my droid, so I'm wondering if it's possible here
 
Ahh there's gotta be a way to fix this. It's so annoying going through my contact list and seeing two dozen reply toos
