I believe my internal HHD's cable has failed, I've tried two drives, along with the standard Apple HDD that came w/ my MBP and it's not finding any of them during the startup disk search. I took it to the Apple store today and the rep told me it was the HDD, which it isn't, is there any other way to tell/test the HDD cable?

I purchased a new 250GB HDD to test it out and that wasn't found by the laptop either.

I found the replacement cable at Fix-it.com >http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Repair/Installing-MacBook-Pro-13-Inch-Unibody-Hard-Drive-Cable/1340/1

I'll purchase it if and try that if all else fails. Thanks for your help!

nah take it to apple, they should fix that.
if they don't believe you like before, tell them to try it themselves.
