iMovie - stills sticking audio still going

Help please. I am constructing a movie - no problem combining movie, audio, titles, stills etc. On a very erratic basis on playback - some still images 'stick' while the audio continues - then it catches up (sometimes skipping 2 or three images)

Very frustrating - any ideas ???

Thanks, but have tried that - it is persistent but erratic - ie not the same still every time.
