Use mac mini 10.6 install disc to upgrade imac?

I just bought a new mac mini and I was wondering if I could use the install discs to upgrade my 24 in iMac with 2.66 core 2 duo from 10.5.8 to 10.6. Can this be done? thx

No, this is not possible. The restore discs can only be used on the model they shipped with.

Duff-Man says...this is a question that is asked quite often. In addition to the install discs being made for specific models there is also the licence agreement. Having the disc does *NOT* entitle you to install on whatever computer you like - it's a *single* computer license....have a read of the agreement one of these days....oh yeah!
