2009 MacBook or 2010 MacBook air?

Don't know which forum to put this in but I have a question. Which would be best for a 14-15 year old who mainly wants it for iWork, to show off, and for the Mac experience. They're both the same cost but the air has less memory, ram, and a smaller screen while the only down side to the MacBook is that it is plastic. Please give your opinion. Oh and how do you add a signature because I don't want to have to type the same thing every time I post a thread. Thank you!

Macbook. The optical drive will allow him to play DVDs and give him more power and storage. It doesn't sound like he's in a position where having an 11 inch screen and ultra-low weight would be very beneficial at all.

Agreed. I think the Macbook would be better.
