iPhone 4 and deleted calendar

I have the following issue:

1. iPhone 4 with subscribed FIFA 2010 World Cup calendar on it.
2. Would like to remove the calendar altogether.
3. I deleted the calendar on my laptop and did not unsubscribe to it.
4. I completely reset the iPhone 4 to new, not a back-up in iTunes.
5. Calendar still showed up on iPhone 4.
6. I do not have it "checked" so it doesn't show but I would like it removed.

Any ideas?
