Hi all,

I've just ordered my iPad and have a concern. I intend to connect it to the TV at my brother's house to watch movies and photo slideshows; my question is, once connected with via the AV cable, does the backlight stay on? Is there a way to turn it off?

It's not a major issue but it's nicer to watch a movie on one screen without seeing a smaller version of it in the corner of my eye.

If it's not possible I guess I can just face the device opposite the wall.

i haven't found a way to do it without stopping videos, but i turn the screen all the way down and just lay it on its face. my best advice...sorry.
