Pickup 3G signal from other phones and patch to iPod Touch? Possible?

Well..I'm on my school bus every day (obviously) and I have my iPod Touch. My friend who sits next to me daily has a Palm touchscreen phone, and she has a constant 3G signal so she can get on Facebook/etc..

I was wondering--is there an app in Cydia, that can somehow allow my iPod touch to PICK UP the 3G signal my friends phone is receiving; and somehow get it over to my iPod Touch?

Any help is appreciated--thanks guys!
 
No, but if she has an app that allows her Palm to share its 3G connection via its WiFi (I'm assuming it has WiFi), you could use that.
