Energizer AP1201 case for iPhone 4

Hi all I just picked this case up and loving it,I do have a question about it though. How this case is it acts like the iPhone is plugged in,so the phone shows it's charging. So basically the phone uses the case battery first then the iPhones battery will kick in when the case dies. Will this mess the iPhone battery up since the case is constantly powering the iPhone battery? I just don't want to mess my iPhone up. Thanks for all the help
 
I take it that the Energizer does not have an on/off switch. I have the Mophie and it has an on/off switch. I run down the phone and then switch on the Mophie's battery.

I do not see how it could hurt the phone battery, but I would run the phone battery down at least once a month.
