Hi folks,

My MBP 2.66GHz (late 2008) running hot after 10.6.5 update. The temperature stays 70°C (+/-2°) even during light work or no work at all (with enabled Intel graphics)! I'm quite sure it was not like that with 10.6.4. The temperature during light browsing (Firefox with disabled flash) did not go over 60° and in the idle state it did not go over 50°. Now it's about 15-20° more than before and it makes the very uncomfortable to use.

Anyone else with similar experience after installing 10.6.5?

Macbook Air running hot also

I have the same issue. My MBA (first gen 1.6 version) is running hot all the time. No real CPU usage, it is under 8% but still heat up.
I'm thinking to donwgrade to 10.6.4, since on MBA kernel task start "running" in case of overheating and eats up 150% of the CPU!
