Hi,

Could anyone tell me if it is possible to run PC visualization on an external HD in mac? or does the source code/windows need to be installed locally.

You can save the Windows VM on an external HDD and run the VM from there.

Searching for "vmware fusion vm on external hdd" might give answers too.
