I'm in between getting an iMac and an iPad or a 13 inch macbook pro and an iPhone. At home I will need to be able to do Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, Fireworks, Screenflow and iMovie. On the go I need to have a computer with me for class for taking notes and using PDF's as my textbooks, and updating my twitter, facebook, tumblr, etc etc. Which is the better combo for me? Thank you in advance. :)

personally i much prefer using my iPad in classes as the bigger screen is much easier for me to type on and there's some good iPad specific apps out there for college life. for your home computing needs i would think that either the mbp or the imac would be able to do what you need it to do so the question you need to ask is do you want ultimate portablilty or not.
