Transferring HD movies from iPhone4

Can I burn the footage I've taken with via the HD camcorder onto DVD without loss of quality?

I've tried taking the files off the phone and converting them into a file that my TV likes without success. There's no point in me taking footage on the phone if I can only watch it on the phone or on my pokey laptop screen!

Burning HD footage onto a DVD for playback on a standard player will always result in a loss of quality. Ideally you want a device connected to the TV which is able to decode the native file coming from the iPhone.
