I have an iMac with a 2 TB external drive hooked up to it via firewire that is used exclusively for time machine. I also have a 6 TB drobo hooked up via wireless that is for document protection and to store data that is just too large to keep on my iMac.

I recently upgraded my iMac to a 1 TB drive and can quite easily store my 400 gig iTunes library on my iMac harddrive without worrying about space issues. I also will appreciate the speeds at which I can pull files from the iMac instead of the drobo across the network.

Last benefit is that although the drobo is self preserving, having the iTunes library backed up to my time machine drive would be great.

That said, I want to move my iTunes library from my Drobo onto my iMac. I don't necessarily want to erase the files on my Drobo but rather store them on the iMac moving forward.

What is the easiest, least problematic way of moving a library of this size?

Thanks
