I have an jailbroken iphone 2g that is stuck on the apple boot logo. There is no backup for it. Is there a way to extract the contacts? perhaps from the sim if they are stored on there?

I tried putting it into recovery and connecting iphone browser to ssh into it but it would not find it. Itunes finds it in recovery mode, but I need a way to extract the contacts.

Thanks.

As far as I know, contacts are saved in the phone's memory. I had that problem too, had too restore. Problem is that i'd lost everything but had my backup.

Unfortunately, the iPhone does not store Contacts on the SIM card; as qawes said, they're stored in the iPhone's internal memory.

Never mind my reply, I had a Jailbroken app when i did it and it seen that the developer is not longer working on it
