Hey guys,
I'm at my wits end trying to get Windows 7 running on my MBP (5,5,/Summer 2009). I installed it on my MacBook 1,1 without a hitch, but when I try to install it on my MBP it just gives me a black screen with a cursor in the corner...
I've been Googling for the last few hours, and come across the same problem (and some fixes) related to the iMac, and a few people with the same problem (but no solution) for my model of MacBook Pro, but so far haven't been able to find a solution.
I've tried resetting PRAM, deleting and re-creating the Bootcamp partition, everything I can think of and/or have read. Nothing has worked. I even tried using disk utility to restore the Windows 7 partition from my MB onto my Pro, but when I reset and hold option Windows doesn't even come up as a boot option (I'm not sure if that's supposed to work, mind you, but I think it might be worth trying).
Is there something I'm missing? My next step is to swap the HDDs between the two computers and see if that works, but I'd rather not do that, honestly...
