Okay so I went through the whole process and tried to set up my free MobileMe account. So I got to the step where I can verify and it continues to send the verification emails to one of my older addresses even though it is no longer associated with my account. I even checked the e-mail account and attempted to verify it there and then apple says that the account is no longer associated with this apple id. 
So I don't get it!? I'm so confused as to why this keeps happening and would really love this feature. And I called Apple and I am passed my complimentary telephone service.
