Is there any way to tell if a keylogger or other form of computer monitoring software has been installed on my computer? If so, is there any way to get rid of it? I have heard about little snitch and have iantivirus, but would those detect/remove a program designed to monitor your every internet move?

Have a look at Activity Monitor ( Applications / Utilities / *) and select All Processes*and sort by Process Name to see all processes. If you are unsure about one or two, just check the www for it and see what you can find.

image below uses sorting by CPU as an example

And Keyloggers don't limit themselves watching your every stroke just when you use a internet service like the WWW.

Thanks for that, but I don't know what I am supposed to be looking for. There are so many names with different users and some with multiple threads. I am definitely a novice when it comes to this type of thing.
