iMac or TV for gaming screen?

I have an iMac and now a PS3. I was wondering if I should buy a coverter box to run the ps3 on my iMac or just buy a new TV like this one which will be on sale for black Friday at only 189. The iMac will run it at 720p and the TV at 1080p which one should I choose and why.

I would buy the TV because

a) it will run your games at 1080p whereas the iMac will run at 720p
b) it has vga, composite, component, and HDMI, so you can hook up a lot of stuff.
c) it will get over-the-air TV channels.
d) it can be set up in a different room from your iMac
e) it can act as a secondary monitor for your iMac
