I'm thinking of picking up this set of RAM from the Egg,
but it is rated at 1333 MHz, and as a cas latency of 9-9-9-9.
Running 1333 Mhz seems to get mixed reviews, some say it works, some say it doesn't. Most of the no works I've seen have been 13" C2D machines.
Anyways, I'm guess the system will clock it at 1066, but am wondering if it will use the spd timings of 9-9-9-9 and cas latency of 9, or if it would drop them down to the better 7 spd timings of the 1066 modules? And, wondering if that difference would even be noticeable?
I guess I'm wondering is it worth saving $30 to get this memory, or get the 1066 MHz which has many positive mac reviews? This is my first Mac, and don't have a good sense as to how picky it is on RAM.
