exactly!By taking the Otterbox built in screen protector off isn't that defeating the purpose of maximum protection?
True, but after sometime of use, dust also has a tendency to get in there, so this would also sorta prevent another problem. Yes it may not be "Maximum Protection" anymore, but on an iPhone, I feel the screen should be unhindered
Yeah but now that you have removed the front, even more dust is going to get i there since the case is not as tight as the previous generation.
You essentially have just destroyed the whole purpose of buying or using the Defender in the first place.
Terrible idea.

I agree with the whole defeating the purpose argument, but did you try running your iPhone 4 naked and then try to view it through that membrane? It's painful. Also, if dusts gets between the membrane and the phone, it will scratch, it happened to me. So I can see both sides of the argument.
Personally, I would do a Zagg shield rather than that membrane.
A zagg won't fit with the ob defender on because its kinda thick. A regular static screen protector works fine
That's the reason why I have a commuter. If my Zagg full body would fit in the defender I'd be using the defender right now.
