Whenever I add a camera in motion the grid is always in the center of the object, photo or whatever I have in the project. In other words the red horizontal line is not on the bottom of the objects it is always in the middle. I'v done everything I can think of including just opening motion alone loading an object in a group then adding a camera and it always does the same thing, I can't get anything to sit on top of the grid.

Thanks

In the Inspector, under the Properties tab for the object, adjust the Anchor Point setting. Just set the Y value to -(1/2 of video height).

So if DV -(1/2 * 480) then set Y value to -240.
If HD 720p -(1/2 * 720) set it to -360.
If HD 1080p -(1/2 * 1080) set it to -540.

yes, I should have seen that but I was side tracked by working in Text which appears on top of the grid and was expecting the same for Objects, anyway it works great thanks for the tip.
