Scrolling not as smooth anymore

Well I recently noticed that the scrolling isn't as smooth anymore. Especially in Mozilla Firefox the scrolling jerks a bit. It has become quite annoying. I did harddrive maintenance, cleared the cache, etc... and still the same thing happens. Things have become kinda slow.

I believe it was ok before I updated to OS X 10.6.5.

What to do?
