Sync To-Dos from Mac

How do I sync the To-Dos that I have created in iCal and Mail with my Iphone? In Calendar on my iPhone, there is a calendar named Mail To-Dos but I can't find anything in it. In Mail on my iPhone the to dos appear in the all mail section under my IMAP account, however they appear as email messages with no sender.

In Mail on my Mac, the to dos are kept on the IMAP account (GMail), not locally.

Can anyone help my get my to dos properly on my iphone?
