I was recently on Jeopardy! representing my school, and as a congratulations, my school gave me a new 16 gb WiFi iPad! It was so cool and unexpected that I honestly don't know what to do with it!

I have an iPhone already, but I don't really want to pepper my new toy with iPhone-quality apps. What are some good starter stuffs??

If you're the Hans who was recently in the college tournament, you did a great job! Congrats on making the finals. My 11 year old loves Jeopardy and insisted on watching the whole tournament.

If you're artistically inclined, try Sketchbook Pro (currently on sale for .99!) or Art Studio for iPad. Both are very well done and make great use of the larger iPad screen.

Don't forget the e-reader apps - Kindle, Nook, etc. and BlueFire Reader if your public library has OverDrive, so you can check out e-books from the library for free.

There are many great free news apps, from NYTimes, NPR, ABC News and other prominent news outlets.

I'll leave it to the younger members to suggest games and useful apps for college students.

Enjoy your new toy!

What is why don't you search the forums?

I'll take duplicate threads for $1,000, Alex.
