Lost signal after installing OS 4.2.1

Does anybody have the same issue and know to fix it?

Both of my iphones 3G and 3GS lost their signals after jailbreaked and unlocked to OS 4.2.1.

Signal was still detectable after jailbreaking and then lost it after unlocking. I tried the procedure, to jailbreak and unlock, 3x but still got the same results using either AT&T or T-Mobile sim cards.

Need help.:(
