Just a quick question.

I was using handbrake today and I realized that when I was encoding, according to istat menus, my cpu temp was above 210 degrease for a bit. Is this normal? Should I be worried that my processor was pushing 212-215 for about 30 seconds before my fans kicked in? Once my fans started they climbed quickly up to 5000 rpm and my temp went back down to 160, but I just want to make sure I'm not doing any harm by letting it get that hot before the fans start.

It's ok if that happens, I believe it can handle up to 220F before shutting down. The fans speed up and cool it down, so it won't be too hot for very long.

Thanks for the responses everyone. Just wanted to make sure I wasnt causing any damage.
