Hi,
On my PC (iTunes) I sync/backup an iPhone, 2xiPod touchs and an iPad. My main problem is syncing different things to each iDevice. I have never "synced" anything other than photos, I just add music and apps to each device manually.
When I tried to firmware upgrade my phone to 4.2.1 it bricked it, and I needed to restore on another system before it would come out of recovery mode. After that there were no Apps or Music on it at all (as I never synced in iTunes, which is understandable).
I have solved the music sync issue by creating a Playlist for each device and auto syncing music. Photos is good as I sync the selected folders.
Apps is the pain! I want to backup/sync apps per device. There are some apps on my phone I don't want syncing to my sons iPod Touch, and vice versa. When I sync all apps, and delete an app from my iPhone, after a sync and a re-sync on my son's iPod Touch, it is then deleted off his iPod Touch also
And I don't want a load of apps from my iPhone syncing to the iPad.
The only thing I can think of is seperate iTunes library files per device, but that would use up all my Authorisations on my account? Is that the only option?
Thanks for any info.
