my one year warranty is up, i was afraid that they would've charged me a grip to fix it since i never drop it or cost any physical damage to it. Luckly i just bought it in today and they said apple will cover this damage, i'm thinking this issue happen to a lot of people if they are going to cover this damage even after my warranty is up.
